Daniel Qi is a well known violinmaker in China. He specialises in creating and concocting varnish for violins and has conducted extensive research on the effects of these varnish on his instruments. This is his very popular master violin model made in Guarneri 1743 style. L.C. Yu is a violinmaker that takes a different approach in violinmaking. He is obsessed in making micro adjustments in violinmaking and setup. He is convinced 90% of all violins made in the world can be improved at least 50% just by micro adjusting the setup. And before his retirement, he was the violin first chair in the Chinese Liberation Army Symphony Orchestra. Joseph Ding Master Violin

Promising 38yo young maker based in Shanghai.

Joseph Ding has been making violins for more than 25 years, despite his tender age. He learnt his violinmaking from his teacher/relative JH Wang, one of the most famous violinmaker to graduate from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Joseph is a perfectionist, and because of this he does not make a lot of violins in a year. Some say he is too stringent to be commercially viable in the Chinese violinmaking scene, but that may be his winning points in the long run. This violin is made by Violin Society of America (VSA) violinmaking award maker, Yang Wei. He is a very popular maker in China, and because of his success, he has not marketed very much out of China.
