This is our top selling violin series. It is a very versatile violin and is suitable for a wide range of players. It is setup with Dominant strings and delivers a big powerful tone that is full and warm. The varnish is easily lovable, a pleasant amber with reddish touch. The most important aspect of this model is that we’ve made it so consistent that you can expect every one that arrives to be just as good as the one before.

  • Michael Shakespeare who set it up said that it was beautifully made with a sweet tone. He has strung it with Evah Pirazzi strings and a Larsen top string. The sound is indeed very sweet and I would have thought on a level with the good Hungarian instrument. It seems to have a bit more ‘ring’ to it than the Hungarian. So perhaps a little more transparency in tone. It is also easy to play and does not require effort.

Strad or Guarneri

You can have your violins made in both. Just indicate it in your order. Strads generally have more power, while customers have told us our Guarneri's have the best mellow tone they've heard from a new violin.

RV-700
This model comes with a one piece back, and fitted with Dominant strings 135B and Aubert 'A' bridge.


RV-800
This model uses wood from Italy and puts this violin squarely among many European workshop violins. If you stock European wood violins, we recommend you give this model a try. Many of our resellers who do have told us many good things about their sales.

Custom violin

If you have an existing violin model and would like us to varnish in the same way, just write to us and let us know. Occassionally, you might also have a client who wants to make that special model. Well, you can treat us just like your own workshop. Just give us the measurements and we'll fulfill them in 60 days.
